We collect the information you give us when you sign up (name, ASU email, major, year, and a few other optional fields) plus basic usage analytics while you use the site. We use that information to run the club: event RSVPs, ProSales Gold payments, and newsletters, plus features we are rolling out like the points system and mentorship. We do not sell your data, and we do not share specific member contact information with sponsors without your explicit consent at each event.

Who we are

ProSales Club is a registered student organization at Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business in Tempe, Arizona. We are a student-run club, not ASU itself. Our 2026–27 executive board is led by Vedika Thareja (President), with Kaylee Thompson (Director of Corporate Engagement), Matt Rybicki (Director of Student Engagement), Ethan Bayard (Director of Student Outreach), Jenna Capampangan (Director of Administration), and Sage Stone and McKenna Danapilis (Directors of Events). Our faculty advisor is Dr. Julie Nelsen, PhD, Clinical Associate Professor of Marketing. For privacy questions, contact us at president@prosalesclub.com.

What we collect

When you sign up for an account, we collect:

  • Your email address (ASU email for most members, or a non-ASU email if you were invited directly by the exec board).
  • Your full name.
  • Your major, minor, and any certificate(s) you are pursuing.
  • Your academic year (freshman through graduate).
  • The semester you joined and how you heard about ProSales.
  • Your membership tier status (Basic or Gold), and, once the points system launches, your points ledger.
  • Your event RSVPs and check-ins, plus any survey responses you submit.
  • Payment records for ProSales Gold dues, processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number or CVV; Stripe does.1
  • Basic browser and device information, plus first-party analytics pings from Vercel (the company that hosts the site).

How we use it

We use the information above to:

  • Deliver the membership benefits you signed up for (event access, ProSales Gold perks, and points tracking once it is live).
  • Send you the club newsletter and transactional email (RSVPs, account confirmations, password resets).
  • Where we offer mentorship, match you with a mentor based on the major, year, and interests you share.
  • Process ProSales Gold payments through Stripe.
  • Measure club health: attendance, engagement, survey completion, and, as the points system rolls out, points distribution. This is how we know what is working and what is not.

We do not sell your data to anyone, ever. We do not share your specific contact information with sponsors without your explicit consent at each event. We may share aggregate, anonymized engagement data with sponsors in the form of a semester report (e.g. "52 members attended the Oracle NetSuite panel").2

Who we share it with

We share data with a small number of service providers, only as needed to run the club:

  • Supabase (Postgres database, authentication, and transactional email). Your member record lives in a Supabase project. Servers are located in AWS us-west-1 by Supabase default.
  • Vercel (site hosting and first-party page analytics).
  • Stripe (payment processing, only for ProSales Gold dues).
  • ASU Professional Sales Program faculty (aggregate engagement data only, for program reporting). Never your specific contact information.

That is the full list. Your data is not sold, rented, or traded.

How long we keep it

We keep your active member data for the duration of your membership, plus up to two years after your graduation date so you can stay connected to the ProSales alumni network. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing president@prosalesclub.com. We will confirm and purge within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct any information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Ask us to delete your account and associated data.
  • Export your data in a portable format (JSON).

To exercise any of these, email us at president@prosalesclub.com. We respond within 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

We use first-party analytics cookies from Vercel Analytics to measure which pages are visited and how the site is performing. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party ad trackers. We do not follow you around the internet. We do not sell your browsing activity.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people interact with the site (heatmaps and session replays). Sessions are anonymized and sensitive form fields are masked by default, so passwords, payment details, and other private inputs are never recorded. You can opt out via Microsoft's privacy controls at clarity.microsoft.com.

Data security

All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS). Your data is encrypted at rest by Supabase using industry-standard AES-256. Every database table uses Row-Level Security, which means our own exec board members can only see the data they are authorized to see. Payment card data never touches our servers; it goes directly from your browser to Stripe.

Minors

The ProSales Club website is intended for ASU students who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18 and created an account, contact us and we will delete the account.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to this policy, we will post the updated version here and notify members by email. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent update.

Footnotes
  1. 1 Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. Card details (PAN, CVV, expiration) are tokenized at the browser and never transit our servers. We retain only a transaction reference and last-four for receipts.
  2. 2 Aggregate reports group members by major, year, and attendance count, never by name or email. A “52 members attended” row reveals nothing about who any individual member is.
